Stalin & Maria

Impact Ecuador supports the ongoing ministry of Carmen Bajo Church to serve the people of Carmen Bajo, a marginalized neighbourhood in Quito, Ecuador. The community struggles with high levels of teenage pregnancy, dysfunctional families, poverty, child mistreatment, malnourishment, and alcoholism.

Stalin and Maria are part of the Quito community. Their three children have been part of the Children’s Centre and school for several years, and although they appreciated the program for their children, Stalin and Maria wanted nothing to do with the church themselves. Stalin recently began losing his eyesight and through this difficult time he started looking for God. As a result of their children’s involvement in the church, Stalin entered into a time of mentoring with Pastor Fabian. This past summer, both Stalin and Maria became followers of Jesus. They have a passion for evangelism and have shared the good news with many individuals and couples in their community. Three new families are now attending the church through their outreach.

Because of supporters like you, God’s love is being shared and lives are being changed in Ecuador. Thank you!
