A message from the CEO

As you know, the world has changed significantly since I last wrote to you. Even though we’re living through extraordinary days, I’m comforted by the hard work iTeams has achieved with our partners to streamline operations to better serve communities in need. Over the course of 2019, our programs shifted to better fit our vision for a community-led model, which is more important now than ever.

Right now, local leaders around the world partnered with iTeams are not only in the best position to help their communities during regular day-to-day operations, but also in extreme circumstances like the pandemic. In a crisis like this, these leaders know their own communities and are more familiar with their needs than anyone.

Today, every Impact Program is responding to the crisis as quickly and effectively as they can. These programs are crucial to both fighting and stopping the spread of the coronavirus in vulnerable regions of the world. Their work continues to be vital to keeping at-risk communities healthy and safe.

Luckily, our structure means we don't have to be physically present to help these programs continue to aid people in need. Not only do we look forward to continuing to equip them from a distance, but also we remain committed to adding velocity to their essential work throughout 2020.

We’re incredibly grateful for your support during these difficult days, and we hope you and your loved ones stay safe and well.

Neil Ostrander, CEO

A Message From Our Board

I want to thank you for your faithful support of iTeams Canada throughout 2019. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I’d like to share our gratitude for your dedication, caring and commitment to transformational development in marginalized areas around the world. Your gifts have lifted local leaders up, empowered entire communities, and changed lives for the better.

Thank you for helping us restore dignity, justice and the necessities of life to some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Our supporters in Canada assist in creating long-term partnerships between churches, communities and local leaders that enable localized projects to break the cycle of poverty.

As a Christian organization, we work to transform lives through the power of God’s love. But we couldn’t do it without you! It’s only with the help of our community, people who embody the character of Jesus and participate in God’s mission, that we are able to carry out this vitally important work.

We are elated to share our milestones with you today. Thank you for believing in us, our partners, and tomorrow’s Christian leaders. We hope you enjoy sharing in all of our successes from 2019.

2019 Highlights

Celebration With New Life Tabernacle!

Thanks to your faithful support, Impact Zambia celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Zambian partner, New Life Tabernacle. Several hundred people ate together, played together, and attended training sessions offered at the Impact Zambia Training Center.

Family Farm Nears Completion!

Last year, Impact Romania began construction on the Family Farm and has nearly completed its farmhouse. Located outside of Cluj, it will include animals, a garden, and a beautiful orchard. The farm will host teams of young Christian leaders and orphaned children who can learn practical skills and grow in relationship to one another during their stay.

Agriculture Projects Provide Vital Food

Impact Haiti, in collaboration with TearFund UK, helped 12 churches begin agriculture projects over the course of 2019. These projects have now become even more vital to providing food to vulnerable communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
