The New Year at Village of Hope

By Lauren Anderson, Monday January 20, 2020

We are so grateful for your prayers and your support. There continues to be reports of attacks around the northern borders of Burkina Faso. With news that many schools in the north have closed, we are thankful to be located far from the borders and that we have been able to stay open.

We are grateful that Impact Burkina Faso – Village of Hope has been able to accept 45 students from the north. This opportunity is providing them with a second chance at education and a future at Village of Hope, as the schools in their village have closed. We are learning a lot from them and are providing trauma counselling.

It’s because of your support that we can extend welcome to students from the north, including Eunisse. She is the one standing in the photo above. She is in grade 3 and full of enthusiasm. She provides encouragement to her classmates and is recognized by the staff of the school because of her excellent work in class and her discipline.

Please continue to pray for us. Pray for safety and God’s protection over our nation. Pray that the attacks can cease because recently they have been killing Christians. It means so much to us to know that we are not alone and that we have a community of brothers and sisters around the world that are supporting us.
