Impact Teams get the unique experience of serving alongside our partners in person in the communities where we work around the world. They learn from local leaders, meet local people, and contribute what they can to the work we are doing together to break cycles of poverty in the lives of the most vulnerable.

How It Works

Reach Out

Get the conversation going - let us know what you are looking for out of an Impact Team experience, the size of your group, ideal dates if you have them, and any other pertinent information. Then, we’ll help you discern the best plan for a trip for you.

Pick A Destination

Our local leaders welcome Impact Teams to most of the communities where we work around the world. We do not send teams to countries under travel advisory by the Canadian Government.

Popular programs to visit include our partners in:
Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Kenya, Romania, Zambia, and Uganda.

Ministry activities range from construction and vocational training to children’s programs and food distribution - depending on the type of work of the local partner.

Fundraise

Impact Team trips can range in cost from $2,500 (closer destinations, larger groups) to $6,000 (further destination, longer time in-country, smaller group).

Total trip cost includes accommodation, food, travel, ministry supplies, training, and some recreational activities. Travel Insurance can be added at additional cost.

Once we have agreed to the details of your trip, we’ll sign an agreement and set you up with all the tools you’ll need to meet your fundraising goals - including an online fundraising page.

Prepare

We believe your Impact Team experience is all about how you prepare and process your experience - that’s why we provide you and your team with both online and in-person team resources to use to make your time before, during, and after your trip as transformative as possible.

Go

We will work with our partners to arrange for the details of your trip, including your flights, baggage, and visas where applicable. Once you arrive, our local partners will guide your experience. Trip length is flexible, but typically trips range from 8 days to 3 weeks.

Keep In Touch

We are all about long-term partnership - we hope that after an Impact Team experience, team members will continue to follow along with the continued work of iTeams and our local partners, and even become advocates for the work they have seen to their friends and families here in Canada.
